Carry Markovich, Equestrian Manager

Find a good riding instructorCarry brings a useful combination of business and equestrian experience to her role as Equestrian Operations Manager. She is a lifelong equestrian with her foundation established in the U.S. Pony Club system. Four years ago she started a second career to follow her equestrian passions.  This followed a 25-year career in corporate communications and nonprofit fundraising.

Carry’s current discipline is endurance racing.  This involves riding up to 100 miles in less than 24 hours. Before moving to Long Island she had begun competing at the FEI 1* level – a distance of 50 miles. She has cared for and trained internationally-competitive endurance horses.  She has trained and competed on the personal horses of the Chef d’ Equipe (coach) of the US Endurance Team.

Carry currently serves as a communications and fundraising consultant to the US Endurance Athletes Association.  This is a national nonprofit founded to raise money to support the U.S. Endurance Team. She is a member of USEF, FEI, the American Endurance Ride Conference, the US Equine Endurance Athletes Association, and the Eastern Competitive Trail Riding Association.
