Boots & Suits Weekly Summer Camp

Greenlawn Equestrian Center will once again offer the popular Boots & Suits summer camp program for the 5th consecutive year!  This camp introduces children to horses and further develops their horsemanship skills to increase their comfort and knowledge of horses in a wholesome, nurturing & caring environment. Campers will learn and practice all aspects of horse care and riding while developing their independence and responsibility. After a full day of riding, horse care and barn chores, campers can relax, take off their boots and have some fun cooling off in their bathing suits! What a great way to end the day.

A Typical Camp Day Includes:

ü   Welcome & Introduction to the Lesson of the Day

ü   Groom & Tack-up Horse

ü   30 min Riding Instruction (twice a day for full day campers)

ü   Un-tack, Groom, Bathe & Turn-out Horse

ü   30 min Horsemanship Lesson(twice a day full day campers)

ü   Snack/Lunch (Pizza Lunch will be provided every Friday)

ü   Water Fun
ü   Games & Special Events
ü   Arts & Crafts (horse related, of course!)

 NEW!    Advanced Rider Summer Camp

Once again Greenlawn Equestrian Center is offering an advanced rider camp designed especially for experienced riders looking to immerse themselves in an advanced riding camp program.  This camp includes advanced riding and horse care instruction which will include diagnosis and treatment of horse ailments, designing of jump courses, horse show preparations, fun learning projects and field trips to local horse shows! Our advanced camp is a 2 week session of full day camp 8:30 am-4:00 pm for riders at the walk/trot/canter riding level and above.

We offer a $50 early bird registration discount off your first week if you register BEFORE March 31st and a 5% sibling discount.

HOW TO REGISTER
To register for our Summer Camp Program you will need to complete the appropriate Registration Form (Boots & Suits Camp Registration or Advanced Rider Camp Registration) along with a Riding Agreement and submit with a non-refundable deposit of $100.00 per session for the Boots & Suits Camp or $200 per session for the Advanced Rider Summer Camp to hold a spot for your child. Register early as space is limited per session, this ensures each camper receives individual attention and supervision from our trainer and counselors. The balance of payment will be due on or before the first day of camp. We accept cash, check and all major credit cards.  To pay your deposit or camp balance with a credit card simply download and print our Credit Card Authorization Form and fax it to us as 631-757-2364.

WHAT TO BRING
Campers should bring a backpack labeled with their name with 2 water bottles, sunscreen, lunch (full day campers only), ATSM riding helmet, riding boots (or appropriate footwear with a low heel), a pair of full length pants or riding britches to participate in the horseback riding lesson, bathing suit, towel and a change of clothes for non-riding activities. Snacks will be provided each day to all campers and a pizza lunch will be provided to full day campers on Friday. A vending machine with snacks and drinks as well as an ice cream machine are available to campers who wish to purchase items during camp.

 

VACATION CAMP
 (February, April & December School Breaks)

Riding Instruction and Horsemanship Skills are taught and practiced each day during school break.  Campers learn what it is like to own a horse.  Full and half day sessions are available.  Campers should dress appropriate for the weather, wear boots with a low heel, bring helmet, gloves and a bag lunch/snack.  Pizza will be provided for lunch on the last day of camp for full day campers.
